Job Description TEAM: Sabre Offer Services consists from two teams: Pricing and Shopping and has an exciting opportunity for a software tester in Krakow. The Software Quality Engineer is a pivotal role in the organization ensuring the highest quality of software delivery in the travel industry. Our product is a highly complex, challenging and dynamic area, the cornerstone of all travel bookings for airfare. This position will provide the candidate with the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of our business including fare rules, system complexity and data filings as well as how airline and travel network customers are using the Sabre system. Test automation is our main goal. Knowledge of XML testing as well scripting in Python is a plus. The candidate must demonstrate testing acumen, troubleshooting abilities and a strong desire to understand how systems work. The QA team ensures high quality customer experience through systematic use of agile testing practices. Job Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: 2 years’ experience in Quality Assurance area Knowledge of Python (or any other scripting language) Knowledge of XML/xPath/Regular expressions Knowledge of bug tracking tools such as JIRA Strong problem solving skills Good English communication skills, written and verbal PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Basic knowledge of testing domain Experience in backend system testing Experience in test automation tools Experience in Airline or Travel Industry Knowledge of GIT (or another version control tool) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Creates appropriate test scenarios based on software specification Designs, creates, executes and maintains automated tests Develops and executes software test plans Document detailed steps to reproduce defect Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action Consults with development engineers and business analysts to resolve problems Attends status meetings and provides oral and written reports regarding work progress Takes part in researching best practices, new tools and technology We will give careful consideration to your application and review your details against the position criteria.
